View Full Version : Unable to bitstream HD audio trough Xonar HDAV 1.3 with MPCHC

Good evening everybody!

As I said in the title, I'm unable to bistream HD audio with my Xonar... I can do it (DTS-HD, DTS, DD, DTHD) with Total Media Theatre 5, but not at all with MPCHC.

I've followed this tutorial: http://www.homecinema-hd.com/home_en.html.

So I have (at this time) the latest version of:

MPCHC (3757);
ffdshow (4019);
LAV filters (0.39);
madVR (0.78);
Win7 x64 SP1 et .NET framework 4.

I've a Xonar HDAV 1.3 (driver 1797), a crossfire of Sapphire 4890 HD and a Onkyo 709.

I could see DD or DTS on my receiver, but if I try to play a mkv or a BD with HD audio, I have DTS-HD or DTHD on my receiver ok, but the sound is cut...

I tried to use only LAV filter, but I could only have DTS et DD bitstreaming. For HD audio, I don't see anything on my receiver, and I have no sound.

If anybody have a solution or succeed in bitstreaming HD audio through its Xonar, it would be glad if he could give me its .ini file for MPCHC and its .reg file for ffdshow.

Thanks :)

The Xonar is locked, its driver will only allow TMT to bitstream HD audio.

The only one possiblity is to try to use the TMT Audio Renderer in MPC-HC, but it does limit the functionality somewhat.

which ones, only the HDAV? or all xonars?

I used to have it working good, but all I remember is that it was really hard to have it working (but I can't remember the way I made it worked).

I registered the .dll ASaudiorenderer of TMT5 and add it to the external filter list of MPCHC, but I'am just able to bitstream DTS and DD. If I try to bitstream HD audio, I have a cut sound :s

I've joined my .ini file (MPCHC config) and my .reg file (ffdshow). There are configured to be used with madVR and AVIsynth (2.6).

If it's not possible to have HD audio bitstreaming, is it possible to send it in PCM without loss?

As far as i know, the HDAV are the only Xonars with HDMI, so how would bitstreaming even apply to any of the other cards?

Is it possible to send DTS-HD and TrueHD through HDMI in LPCM in 32 bit at 192 kHz with ffdshow ? (Which is a lossless format if I don't mistaken.)
