Hi all,
I was wondering, is there a fast way to search for an ID of an asset in Scenarist or you must check EVERYTHING till you find it?
Thanks!

Open the XML file for the project in a text editor (the .sbdprj file), and look for the ID in quotes. (If the ID you want is 2400, search "2400" including the quotes as just searching for the number might find a lot of matches. You can also search for ID="2400" if you need to narrow it more.) That will tell you what it is pretty quickly, and then you can go back to the project and find it faster. Not sure if there's an easy to find them in the program itself...
IDs are generally created in numerical order too, so if you've found 2396 by chance, 2400 has to be near by...
They need a 'Jump to ID' option in the program pretty badly...
(Shot Rovi a feature request, we'll see what they say... :) )
Their response: In an upcoming release the error message should be far clearer with more helpful info. This should make it much easier to navigate to the issue that is being reported.
So hopefully they'll make it easier to locate some of these problems... Especially when you have a huge project with a potential of thousands of different IDs. Have to stick with the text search for now... :)
