I'm using build 2 of the programm. Sound and images are good, but the permanent subtitles are out of sync. The only adjustments that I made were that the height became 576 (in the avisynth file). And that the sound was not downgraded to 44.1 Khz...Besides that I extracted the right subtitles (SHREK movie). Does someone has a clue (older or newer build)

Thx

Are you converting from NTSC to PAL or using any convertions that can affect the length?

I had this same problem with shrek. It was ripped with dvddecryptor (I was testing the ISO mode function). When ripped with internal routines, the problem was fixed.

It was ripped by smartripper and it is a pal version...could it be that a ripper is the cause of this...?

It could very well be the problem. It is known that audio can be out of sync with a SmartRipper rip, Subtitles are not that far off.

Try piping the Vob files through the internal routines by selecting the IFO file on your HD and having it rip the already ripped files into another directory and continue the encode using them. This sometimes fixes out of sync problems.

It seems you have already ripped the files to your HD. You are having problems.

In DVD2SVCD instead of selecting the IFO file off the DVD select the one that SmartRipper put on your HD, just like you already did to do the encode that didn't work. Turn on DVD ripping in DVD2SVCD. In the conversion tab select the IFO file on the HD. Make sure that the ripping output folder is not the same as where SmartRipper put the files. They cannot copy onto themselves. Make all your settings like normal and hit go. This will re-rip the files from the HD and can fix some out of sync problems. You will end up with two copies of the VOB files. The original that you ripped with SMartRipper and the copied/re-ripped files that DVD2SVCD made from the original. You can erase the original files when the ripping is done to save space.

This is as clear as I can get.
