Can a DVD be prevented from playing on a PC

Hi all

Title says it all really;).

My original DVD of The Last Templar will play on both my TV / DVD combo players, the PS3 and a standalone DVD player. It won't play on my Windows 7 desktop, or my Windows Vista laptop.

How can I rip it if my computers won't even recognise the disc???

Try cleaning the disc.

Then try using a cleaning disc on the DVD ROMs/Players/Burners of your two PCs. Maxell makes one that sells for about $10US...

Cleaning the disc was the first thing I tried - even before posting.
But I never thought about cleaning the DVD-rom, will try and get hold of a cleaning disc.
