Hi,

I'm looking for a documentation of the runbbmpeg command line parameters. I experimented a bit and the only thing I found out by now is that the first parameter names the program stream.

How can I specify the video and audio streams, and how can I make the process start automatically after having launched "runbbmpeg <parameters....>" ?

thx

Bernd

How to use programs outside of DVD2SVCD is beyond the scope of this forum. I suspect you would be better served posting in the SVCD forum instead.

You may also want to check the BBmpeg homepage.

hi,

I'm sorry markrb, but it seems that this question belongs to this forum. runbbmpeg is a dvd2svcd (the author) creation, and I guess that there aren't any paramethers to use with it. Maybe dvd2svcd have some more informations.

Thanks, Mozart,

I've just asked dvd2svcd, he didn't anwer yet.

If there are no command line params of runbbmpeg, I will try to create an own little program to call the funtions inside bbmpeg.dll from command line.

Ok I took it as how do I run this particular program by itself. I did not know that runbbmpeg was authored by DVD2SVCD.

According to the author Runbbmpeg is just a real down and dirty hack that uses the ini file from bbmplex. All it does is launch bbmplex so there are only minimal parameters.

So, do an encode and note the syntax needed to run it in the log file. My understanding is you would either use bbmplex to create the ini or hand edit an existing one. Of course then you might as well use bbmplex anyway.

If you use BBMplex remember to set it to SVCD and change the forced mux rate to 0 so it is on automatic. Use defaults for all else.

Oh, if you are using XP remember there is a bug and press the load button in the first screen and then cancel it before you select start encoding to get to the settings button. Else it will crash when you try to load your file names in the third screen.

Yeah, got it working, thx a lot.

I modified the default.ini file and launch bbmpeg with runbbmpeg.

cheers
