Hi
Background:
I've been asked to copy data from some mini-DVDs.
Some of the Mini-DVDs are in plastic sleeves; the rest are plain.
I'm told that the camcorder was an Hitachi. Both the plain discs and the sleeved discs were used with it. The camcorder's long gone, so I'm looking for alternatives for reading the mini-dvds.
My Burners' disc trays have the indent for 3" discs, but I doubt I should remove the ones that are in the sleeves.
The Questions:
Is special software needed for reading those plain dvds, so as to copy the data from them to the PC.
(I'm on a Mac; I'll fire-up the PC when I'm ready to start this project.)
What options are there for reading those sleeved dvds without a camcorder. Hopefully there's either a media reader (USB or Firewire) or at least a special Burner tray that accomodates the square sleeves.
Thanks for any help.
