Hi everyone!

As soon as I select the *.ifo-file a window opens saying "analyzing video" but doesn't disappear for hours. When I try to start the process anyway, I get an I/O error. When I then try to use vstrip, the program starts, but stops then and doesn't do anything - besides keeping to say "analyzing video".

So, any help an this one?

Try authenticating the drive with a software DVD player first like PowerDVD or WinDVD. Just start the movie and pause it.

Or install aspi drivers, like ForceAspi17

Thank you guys. I tried it under WinME - the OS I normally watch DVDs under - and it works. But the video encoding would have lasted 22 hours on my 1.2GHz machine. That's too long for my taste...

You didn't give us any information about the lenght of the movie ,if you use filters, how many passes you set in CCE, etc.
Without this information nobody can say if 22h is too long. But I can say that with some settings 22h is quite ok.
