Hi,

I am trying to make a DVDrip of an anime.
Sample video is provided

I am just wondering if I can use TIVTC for the Opening and main part and IVTC + decomb for the ending, because the credits on ending looks blurry as shown below if I use TIVTC

TIVTC

IVTC+decomb

However, if I use IVTC all the way, some of the scene has some.... lines??

Please help me ><

That doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
Please help me
Pictures are next to useless. If you want help please provide an unprocessed sample that shows the problem(s). 10 seconds should be plenty.

Basically the problem is whether I used TIVIC or IVTC+ decomb to deinterlace my anime DVD, different problem arises.

I will provide a sample later when i uploaded.

I don't see anything wrong with the end credits or any place else. Using this script:

TFM()
TDecimate(Mode=1)

There is a small section of progressive 30fps just before the end credits, but it moves so slowly that I didn't notice any jerkiness after being decimated. Maybe someone else will notice something I didn't see.

@Nosmas
Your sample seems not properly telecined. I see several sequences of duplicated interlaced frames. It looks like AA AB AB AB BB pattern.
I guess the foreground is first telecined then slowed down by duplicating and overlayed to the background. You should first remove all duplicated frames then do an adaptive IVTC(do not use 30->24 pattern).

In the credit part, the background is telecined but the text looks interlaced in every frame during fading. Since the text is static and fades quickly, it's OK to use normal IVTC method on it.

Maybe I will try using ur script to c if it turns out better, Thanks!

Should I encode it in vfr or cfr??

Use whatever plays best on your PC/standalone.
