Hey all. I use Handbrake .95 for reducing my 1080 copies down to 720 while they work/look great on my PC my I cannot get them to run on my LG Bluray via usb? The larger source files run fine and I don't know what the issue is? I use 2.9.8 mkvmerge to remove the video from the audio and then encode using handbrake, I use popcorn audio to smooth out the audio tracks if necessary.

My LG player isn't perfect I have had problems with several files it cannot seem to play which is fine. But i don't understand why the source file would work and the encode would not? I first thought it was header compression problems from a newer version on mkvmerge but after redoing them with an older version no luck.

So if anyone could give me some advice or an alternative to handbrake it would be greatly appreciated. I tried Ripbot but it lacked the options that I am used to in handbrake.

You didn't post an encode log, so we have no idea what settings you used for the encode. But an educated guess would be that you generated a variable framerate file with handbrake and your LG doesn't understand VFR.

VFR is enabled in handbrake when you select the "Same as source" framerate option. Pick a specific framerate instead and check the CFR option.

I'll give that a shot. Thanks for the tip. If that wont work ill try and figure out how to post an encode log. Thanks again.
