Identify the lba in the last vob file, where the end-credits start.

Then use vstrip, and enter this lba as end-lba, and let it run.

After that, you've got rid of the credits, and the VOB file will stay intact.

Yea sure!

Open the last VOB file with PowerDVD or whatever, and watch/scan it, for the credits beginning.
Lets say the credits are beginning when the PowerDVD-Progress bar is right in the middle, and lets say at the same point where the credits are beginning, the Cell-ID has changed.

Now open this last VOB file, with VobEdit, and scroll the left listview to the middle of the vob-file.
Now just scan that listview for the Navigation-Pack where the Cell-ID changes, and you've got the LBA where the credits begin.

Load only this VOB file into vstrip, enter as 'Start LBA' 0, and
as 'End Lba' your found LBA -1.
Specify a destination directory and filename, and let it run. Done.

Can this also be done for starting credits? From my other post that hasn't received any responses, I'm having a problem with the opening and closing credits being jumpy and pixelated (sixth sense). Once the movie starts, the problem goes away. Are these interlaced frames? Is there anyway to fix this? But my question here is more in case I have a film that will just fit a DVD-R if I 'trim' a bit off the front and back end. Is there a starting lba and an ending lba that we can use to make inpoints and outpoints? That would be best.

Thanks,

Roveer

Yes, you can do the same for starting credits too.

In that case the start-lba in vstrip, will be the LBA you must find/identify.
And as end-lba, simply enter 9999999. Or maybe you can leave the end-lba field empty. (Havent tried yet).

But if you do that for beginning credits, you must process the VOB files later with IfoEdit, cause then your chapter-points aren't correct anymore.
