Hello,

I am begginer in every related to video codecs and I am working on the Motion Estimation and I am trying to implement it in VHDL. The algorithm I am using is the Uneven Multihexagonal Search (UMHexagonalS) and at the moment I am stuck. The questions I have are probably very easy:

- How big must be the search window? My search window must be square, is not it?

- In the hexagonal search, how much must be the distance between one search point and the next one?

- Is the distance from one search point to another search point measured in pixels or macroblocks?

Thank you very much for your time and your help.
