Hello everyone,

I'm new to this forum and my name is Michael.
I've got a big problem I can't fix myself:

I can't use the ripbot264 in Win7 64 bit. Every time I use it on a film, it hangs up at the end and says gathering information...

It never stops... In Vista 32 all worked very well.

I've read the threads here to tweak the ffdshow codecs, but in the 64bit list, there is always only a Microsoft codec listed.

Does anybody have any suggestions for me, so that I can use ripbot under the Win7 64 bit OS?

Thank you !!!

Greets Michael.:thanks:

Where do you have RipBot264 installed?
default "Programs" folder?
If yes, try it in another folder outside of system folders like "Programs"

Okay, thanks. I installed it in program files (x86). Maybe that is the problem.

Sorry, that didn't help much. I installed it in program files. No change. I installed in in c:\ripbot264. But this still doesn't work. It always crashes at the end. It says: gathering information... and the PC stays there. I only can abort then. Yesterday I tried the ffdshow 64 bit version. But if I uninstall the 32 bit ffdshow, ripbot does not start. Perhaps it is a 32bit program, I also have to install in 64 bit version. But I don't see which one...

I found the problem! I used my own .ini file and that didn't work well. In Vista that was okay. But something must have changed. Don't know.
I used the .ini file from ripbot and it worked. I tweaked it to my needs, and it still does work.

Thanks to everyone for you suggestions.

Did you change the default settings pointing to profile, which doesn't exist? It's another way to keep RipBot gathering informations till end of time.
