I just bought a blu ray drive for my computer the other day and have been using megui to rip some blu rays to xvid format. I was wondering if anyone knows how scene releasers go about determining how big a file should be and what bit rate to use. I see most of them have ac3 audio at 640kbps. I see that most are in the 2000-3000kbps range for video bitrate but don't know if they set a specific bitrate or set bits per pixel or choose a specific size. The few i have ripped i have done different things and they have turned out pretty good for the most par. I just don't seem to be able to find very much info on blu ray to xvid conversion or the info is all over the place. I guess its still a pretty new thing. At this point in time i do not want to use x264 just xvid and ac3 audio. Thanks for any info
