Hi all,

I want to use ass subtitle cause ass have some good things (more than 1 color, fade in/out etc) but i can't find a good tool to convert ass in something that Scenarist will eat.

easySUP can make xml+png (they are well rendered in picture but Scenarist say 'parse error on xml blabla'.

easySUP can .sup file and after that you can BDsup2sub (to make xml) but same thing than the previous error.

In fact i see where is the prob in the .ass input when you use easySUP, easySUP can't manage special effect.

Look this :

0000,0000,0000,,{\fad(300,0)}PEGASUS {\c&H3C&}RYÛSEI-KEN
(with this line easySUP is dead, you won't get a valid file)

0000,0000,0000,,PEGASUS RYÛSEI-KEN
(with this line easySUP is ok, you will get a valid file)

Sadly, BDSup2Sub can't import ass file. Is there a way to reach my goal ? (without using PunkGraphicStream cause i can't see 23.96 Frame rate in option)

Thx in adv,

Max.

Heh, not sure what subtitle tool that is, but they seriously need a different file extension. :)

If you are going to be doing a lot of complex subtitle work with Scenarist, you might look into a program called Lemony. It's developed (or at least supported/sold by) Sonic, and the output is 100% compatible with all of their products.

True but it's too much expenssive :( Anyway i find that PunkGraphicStream input ass and after you can use BDSup2Sub to make a valid Scenarist file.

Ps: i don't see myself asking my boss about buying a lemony licensse cause i need ass file for personnal use lol
