I'm using ass or srt file -> blueray.

I use easysup 0.5 but i can't make a Scenarist 32 bit file (i use bdn import). Everything is ok in 8 bit but Scenarist don't want 32bit subtitle. It's strange cause if you read the following line , Scenarist is 32 bit compatible.

Maybe you need the last Scenarist 2d version (aka 5.2 i think ?)

Anyway, maybe 8bit subtitle is fine and 32 bit useless ? What do you think ?

Blu-ray spec only allows 8-bit PNGs as an IG/PG stream. Pretty much every subtitle you've ever seen on blu-ray has been 8-bit.

If you want 32-bit graphics, you have to program them in Java.

If DoStudio is muxing them as an PG subtitle stream, then it's converting them to 8-bit. I would assume that is what it's doing. Some older players may have compatibility problems with purely Java based subtitles...

If it's just normal subtitles you are wanting, then 8-bit is more than fine.
