DVDShrink Speed problems

I used to run DVDShrink on Windows XP Pro 32-bit and it ran very well.

I've just got a laptop, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, and my dvd drive is not spinning the discs nearly as fast. This is resulting in RIDICULOUSLY slow rip times, and I don't know what to do :(

Do you perceive this problem to be DVD Shrink-specific, as your thread title appears to indicate, or is it drive related, as the body of your post appears to indicate?

DVD Drive is probably "Riplocked" ... pray there is a hacked firmware for it, or get a decent drive ;)
