Hello all. I'm hoping someone can give me a hand with this. I searched the site and couldn't find the info i wanted so I thought I'd just ask. I've dl'd a couple of AVCHDs and I'd like to burn them but I keep coming across different info. I mostly use Nero 7 for burning but I'm not against installing ImgBurn. So the 2 main guides I've come across are AfterDawn's Nero guide (which says you need the Certificate folder) and Adubvideo's ImgBurn guide (which says you don't need the Certificate folder). One of the AVCHDs I have doesn't have a Certificate folder so, I'd like to be sure I'm going about this the right way before I just make a bunch of coasters. Thanks for any help you can give me.

I'm sorry, I guess I was pretty vague. What I'm trying to figure out is, do I need the Certificate folder? Or can I just use the BDMV folder?

I've found that generally they play better if the certificate folder is there (even though it's empty). some players may do either way or work better without it.
I'd recommend having it.
I'm not sure exactly what you have....but I use tsmuxer to mux to avcHD structure, and then I burn with nero
you'll want to burn as UDF 2.5

Thanks pacaveli211. I plan on using a PS3 to play them on. The ones I have are have already been muxed into avcHD format. Can I just create a certificate folder for the ones that don't have it?

as far as I know, you should be able to. I don't see why it'd make a difference whether you create it or if it's created during muxing.
but....the best solution here is just to do a couple test burns
see how well everything works or doesn't work =)
