I can't believe that no one here, even i, skip this great piece of software that is completely free and useful.
http://www.dvd-logic.com/easybd/
http://www.dvd-logic.com/easybd/easybdlite.zip
Off course there is payware version that offer much more like menus and navigation, but current Lite version have more pros than Tsmuxer like stricter BD compliant, they are test software with eclipse verifier.
Only cons is lack of cli, so can't be used with our fav apps (BDRebulder, multiAVCHD and many more)

Quick question :
If i use this free software, i can multiplex an h264/ac3 and if the tool say 'ok its done' , i get a 100% sure compliant blueray file thanks to the eclipse verifier which is 'in' the tool?

No since this is not verifier, this is muxer. But possibilities that something gone wrong is less than with tsmuxer.

Good find shon3i. I did not know there was a free version. I'll test it later.
I took a quick look at the program specs on the DVDLogic site. It lists SST (*.sst), BDN XML (*.xml), and PES (*.pes + *.mui) as supported subtitle formats. Do you know if it will mux SUP subtitles?

No but using great program BDSup2Sub, you will convert it just in moment to BDN/XML

Nice to have a free alternative to tsMuxeR for sure.

hi all,
Iīm a professional BD-author and I created a lot BDs with EasyBD. they all have been replicated without any problems - passed eclipse verifier.
we also tested/tried TSmuxer, but all tests have fail the eclipse-test. thatīs why I would advice EasyBD.

Yea but as said before, you need 100% valid media, EasyBD is just a muxer

NEVER use what is essentially a 'hacker tool' for replicated work. TSmuxer is great for making quick BDRs and such (I've never had a disc made with it not play anywhere), but it does not make 100% spec compliant files (as the verifiers will tell you). It's a homebrew app probably programmed by someone that didn't have access to the BD spec... As great as some of these tools are that we have access to, I'd be very careful about using any of them on a disc you plan to replicate and sell to the public. While there is a good chance you wouldn't have that many problems if you did this, it really is a very bad idea to even consider it.
I still think it's funny that people keep suggesting things like EasyBD, Netblender, even Scenarist instead of TSmuxer because it doesn't make spec-compliant files... TSmuxer was never _intended_ to make spec complaint files, it's just designed to make output for homebrewers that don't have access to commercial software (or want a quicker alternative).
Keep in mind, when TSmuxer was written, I don't think any of these commercial tools were even available (except Scenarist). And it hasn't been developed or updated in nearly 2 years... And look at the name of it: _TS_muxer. It's intent was just to make transport streams... They threw in the BD structure option just because it was simple enough to piece that together (but without regard to following the spec). If it was still being developed, I'm sure the spec compliance could be addressed (I'm sure it's missing header info or something), but even if it would pass Eclipse, I still wouldn't use for replicated work... Can you imagine the response from a studio or client if they found out you just whipped up their disc with TSmuxer?

Well i don't know for eclipse and tsmuxer, but tsmuxer can pass Sony BD verifier in some cases, usually 1080p24 with one audio, and usually fails on dirty hacks that patches some stream before mux, not always, and is possible to out without error and even warnings. And i am agree with you, i also can bet that they make BD output without exact specs, since they are broadcast company and make TSMuxer for their needs.
Hmmm I wonder how you know these? From their site

1) It's hard to believe that semi-professional, commercial software would truncate (either for real, or in order to save screen space) progressive fps from 23.976 to 23.97.
2) Anyone know where the publisher is located?

Given the extraordinarily widespread use of tsMuxeR here-and-elsewhere to make homebrew BD discs, I just hafta wonder about the "usually fails" comment--the tsmuxer thread is among the quietest here. I for one have never, ever, had anything I've done with tsmuxer glitching in any way on playback. So if the "failure to comply" to BD spec doesn't manifest itself in any real-world problems, well, who cares? At least, who cares in the hobbyist community (not commercial). ;)
So whereas I'll try EasyBD for grins, I'll be reluctant to Fix my muxes w/EasyBD given that my present MO Ain't Broke afaict. :)

Well I gave this a try and it crashes ("Unhandled exception has occurred") on the .xml (subtitle) files I made using BDSup2Sub ("There is an error in XML document"). Have others here gotten this to work?
Without the .xml sub it works OK.

Most of the folks here are going to use BDSup2Sub anyway to get subtitles into your program, so you may as well see what it does.

@laserfan, firstly i didn't try to mux BDN/XML, but i get same error like you. Good thing that same output from BDSup2Sub work fine with scenarist, and pes produced by scenarist aslo work fine with easybd lite, but that is not easy and free way. Btw there is other sup processing tools i can't rember name but there is one or two at least, that can convert to BDN/XML just for test. Also Subtitle Workshop should can easily convert BDN/XML to SST.
Adding .sup support will be ultimate solution, also i must again ask about CLI support in near future for free version ?

So if the "failure to comply" to BD spec doesn't manifest itself in any real-world problems, well, who cares? At least, who cares in the hobbyist community (not commercial). Well we know that real world problems is much less or non-exist than theoretical, tsmuxer, for now i never ever seen that create unplayable disc, only bad when pulldown is used, but that is rare. In other word, if you do it for home, you don't need to worry at all, tsmuxer is really great piece of software. But i am little perfectionist i love everything to be best as possible, beside that has no impact on future, or anything

...tsmuxer is really great piece of software. But i am little perfectionist i love everything to be best as possible
Yeah I hear ya, I'm [overly] perfectionist too, but I have no access to some of the high-end tools you have (like Scenarist and those BD analysis proggies). So in my case that's a good thing. ;)
As it is I have access to Sony Vegas w/DVDAPro which doesn't like x264's b-pyramid option (have to set it to none) and for a while I was encoding with --b-pyramid none just in case I ever wanted to use DVDAP to mux it! Then after realizing I'd never mux w/DVDAP (I can make menus with it and then paste-in the x264/tsMuxeR output) I put b-pyramid back-in again! :o
Anyway, I usually need subtitles in my BD creations so will just set EasyBD Lite aside until they fix this one. But thanks again for bringing this to our attention--finally a 2nd free BD muxer has appeared in the universe! :)

Hi,
Hopefully the blu ray experts will be able to help with this. If I have a BD structure which has been muxed by tsMuxer, will de-muxing back to raw streams and re-muxing with EasyBD give me a more compliant structure? Or will I have to start from scratch and re-rip from the original disc? (Not that I've ever had any issue with a disc muxed by tsMuxer - but you never can tell the future.)

Hi,
please download Interactive Menu Editor here: http://www.igeditor.com/. You can create any menu with Demo version. Then export it in IES file and specify the IES file in EasyBD, click "compile". Please refer to IGEditor Help file how you can step by step create menu from zero.
