I'd like to know what the easiest, and timely way to go from DVD >> SVCD.

I have tried it w/ DVD2SVCD, Flask, and DVD2AVI. DVD2SVCD looked as though it may have been the light at the end of the tunnel but it crashes long before it finishes. :/

Frankly I just don't have the time to invest in each of them, so for the time being I have resorted to making DivX SmartRipper w/ Xmpeg.

System 1 Specs:
P4 1.8ghz
1gig ram
2 80gig drives
Geforce 2 MX400 64meg w/ tv-out
WinXP Pro

System 2 Specs:
Dual XEON 550
1gig ram
2 9gig drives
Geforce 2 MX400 64meg w/ tv-out
WinXP Pro

If ya'll can give me an easy solution that'd be great.

Cheers!

Not sure why you posted this in VCD encoding but, what the hell, I'll answer you anyway. You should try DVD2SVCD again. Not only is the guy totally crazy about tracking down and fixing bugs, but if you search the forum with specific questions (or do a forum search) about where your crash occurs...they'll fix it for you. If you still can't get that to work, give DVDx a shot. It isn't as high quality but it works and it is painless....

Macros746,

I agree with Jordie. Try it again. Especially with DVD2SVCD version 1.06 and above. The lastest is DVD2SVCD Ver. 1.0.6 Build 4. Haven't try that one yet, but I trield both ver. 1.0.6 build 1 & 3, and it looks solid. Build 4 is just some enhancement over build 3.

I don't have XP Pro, and so I don't know it would be an issue or not.
