I have an 8 channel analog setup and upgraded FFDSHOW to rev.3775. LFE stopped working! I went back to rev.3765 and it's working again. Anyone know what happened in between? I use the same setup selecting 7 channels + LFE in FFDshow audio panel and playing mkv's in MediaPortal. I tested all sorts of combinations in the mixer with no luck. I verified that the speakers still worked using the realtek control panel and it's good. To me it almost sounds as if the LFE is being sent to the fronts. At least it sounds very muddy, but can't get it to work properly.

thanks!

Here are builds in between that you can test to narrow it down further:
3771 (http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow-tryout/files/SVN%20builds%20by%20clsid/generic%20builds/ffdshow_rev3771_20110307_clsid.exe/download)
3772 (http://www.xvidvideo.ru/ffdshow-tryouts-project-x86-x64/ffdshow-tryouts-project-svn-3772-x86-x64.html)

r3771 is working as it should
( or at least the volume meter says so :) )

BTW, for the TODO list...

--- in the mixer window, replace the "3/2/1" setup with "3/0/3" ;

--- add a volume indicator for the Back-Center channel ;

Thanks for the info. I can test the other build tonight.

it looks like the issue was with the shortcut I had. If I accessed the ffdshow config from the icon in the taskbar while the video was playing, the settings for the mixer and LFE "stuck", but didn't when I accessed it from the shortcut created at install. I'm guessing it's isolated to just my install. problem solved!

That should only occur when another instance of ffdshow is active. That will overwrite the settings when it closes.
