I just encoded a few TV eps (From DVD) with HandBrake.
They look and play great on my PC. However when i opened each one with media info i noticed they have variable framerate. Most of them look something like this..
Frame rate : 24.536 fps
Minimum frame rate : 14.978 fps
Maximum frame rate : 29.970 fps
But a few look like this..
Frame rate : 24.000 fps
Minimum frame rate : 11.417 fps
Maximum frame rate : 59.920 fps
That seems kinda high to me (but what to i know). Should i redo them and select "23.976" instead of "same as source" for compatibility reasons? I use an HTPC on my main TV but i might buy something like a wdtv for the bedroom some day..
