I have some subs in IDX/SUB format. I used SubToSup to extract the sub streams to sup format for later dvd authoring. However, is there a way to extract the color palette info from the IDX/SUB files? So I can import it later into PgcEdit and ensure the sub colors are exactly the same as the original?

The idx/sub you ripped have info about the palette in the idx file:
# The original palette of the DVD
palette: 000000, 828282, 828282, 828282, 828282, 828282, 828282, ffffff, 828282, bababa, 828282, 828282, 828282, 828282, 828282, 828282
# Custom colors (transp idxs and the four colors)
custom colors: OFF, tridx: 0000, colors: 000000, 000000, 000000, 000000
Isn't that the info you need?

No matter what muxer I use, I'll always run DVDsubedit on the finished DVD - it fixes the colours and the position on screen (sometimes the subtitles cover important info in the image, sometimes are too up, sometimes are too down, and if I mix original with new the colours are always different)
