Hi all,
I learned that I have to choose File->Video DVD Draft (or concept, or something else, I don't know, I translated this from German 'Video DVD Entwurf') and then select the according VIDEO_TS folder for burning a video DVD.
My beginners question simply is: Since CDBurnerXP is claiming to be able to burn Blu Rays, I am curious what I will have to do for burning a video Blu Ray? (I already know ImgBurn!)

If you know ImgBurn, why the need for CDBurnerXP? Not that I have something against CBXP but I don't migrate to another SW if there is no sound reason...

Just to see how it works (or, as already mentioned in history, 'Because it is there')

Just drag your BDMV/CERTIFICATE folders to it and burn. Let us know how it works.

Hi laserfan, thanks for the reply. You mean I should drag the directories from the upper right to the lower right part of the main window and then burn them. Well, this is the way it does NOT work for DVDs, as mentioned in my first post, one has to go a more complicated way. Anyways, I have done it the way you suggested, and I am burning a BD RE right now. Let's see what will happen, maybe it's easier to burn a Video Blu Ray then a Video DVD.

Okay, the burning has been finished and the BD is running at this moment in my stand alone player and it works! Seems as if it is really more simple to burn a BD then a DVD. Thanks for the idea, laserfan, since I have learned the way needed for DVDs, I probably never would have tried it the other way.

Thanks for reporting-back your success!
I only use CDBurnerXP for making multisession data CD discs, and ImgBurn for everything else including BDs, but it's nice to know the option exists.

In principle same with me, I wanted to try just out of curiosity.

See here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=146134) about the importance of having CERTIFICATE on a BDR/DVDR. Watch Samsung closely ;)
