Hello All,

Could anyone please help me with this problem.

I want to create a single-page bluray menu in Photoshop. The buttons will just be text, Clip 1 Clip 2 Clip 3 etc, and to keep it as simple as possible there are just 3 colours. As an example, Blue for normal state, Yellow for selected state and green for active state.

All the buttons are grouped within the IG,Display Set,Page,Button Group, BOG sequence order and then exported to Scenarist Designer, this will then process them all to indexed colour and in their correct folders but it does give an error message of "Saving Palette Failed"

When you check the BOG folders some buttons are sized differently, this seems to happen at random because some are ok and some are not.
For example, a normal state button will be 87x27 pixels but the selected state and active state will be 88x27. It`s only 1 pixel out but of course they have to be exact. If I re-size this back to 87x27 in Photoshop and save the png then this adjusted button state doesn`t show on the tested menu screen, it`s invisible.

The other method I`ve tried is create the text buttons in Photoshop and change them all to indexed colour and save them in the proper folders and not bother exporting to Scenarist Designer. The Scenarist manual says to load a palette just select one of the button states from a BOG, if the BOG has been done exported through Designer then all 3 colours are shown in the palette as it should.
If the BOG has been done with Photoshop alone then for some reason it only displays one colour in the palette !!

Can someone please give me some help and advice on how to use the colour palette properly if it can be done in Photoshop alone to create BOGs or why Scenarist Designer won`t save the palette when exporting and does this random re-sizing of text buttons.

I`ve tried to keep it as simple as possible with the 3 colours but I`m still struggling with it.

Thanks very much everyone.

Dave :thanks:
