What's the source (DVD, AVI, what?), and how did you figure the AR? It would be pretty unusual for a movie.

I suggest you run your file through MediaInfo (set to text mode) and post what it reports in full.

So you downloaded it. Anything can happen with downloaded videos. I'm sure it's 'valid'. Whoever did it wouldn't have been able to encode if it weren't valid. A better question might be to ask whether or not it kept the aspect ratio. Maybe it did, and maybe not. If you can find something round (sun, moon, ball, etc.) and check the height and width, you might be able to figure it out yourself.
