I suspect a power outage / network problem but I'll only know more later one. But basically I have to take the blame on me because I forgot to store a copy of the emergency contact data PM. There's all kinds of not quite satisfactory excuses why I screwed that up, but I don't consider any of them fully valid. So, sorry and a promise that I won't be left without emergency contact data is the best I can do at this point :(
