Hey all...I'm trying to figure this out, and wonder if anyone has any advice. I have a number of Dolby Surround CDs, and I'd like to convert them to 5.0 audio files by applying Dolby PL or PLII to bring out the encoded center+surround information. I've tried to use Graphedit to process ripped WAV files with AC3Filter, but to no avail. Does anyone have any idea as to how I can do this?

You can try Foobar2000 and DSP 'Free Surround' (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=52235) (the old stable version, the new beta don't work for strict decode)
You can see a discussion over the settings in the thread mentioned at hydrogenaudio. My suggestion is:
- Center Image: 1.0
- Dimension: 0.0
- Stereo Separation: 0.0, 0.0
- Steering mode: Linear or Simple (make your test)
- Rear Phase reconstruction: PowerDVD compatibility (+0, +180)
- Assumed Mixing Coeficients (A,B): (0.866, 0.5) for DPL II, (0.7071, 0.7071) for simple DPL.
