View Full Version : What DB Rebuilder settings for fixed crf?

I want to back up my Bluray disks for display on my Media Player (Popcorn Hour A210). I want to always use Single Pass CRF=18 without regard to the resulting file size.

I've spotted the "FIXED_CRF=" hidden option, but am unsure what other mode/settings I need to use so that Rebuilder does not have to worry about achieving a specific output file size.

Many thanks in advance.

From a search for "FIXED_CRF":

Thank you for replying. I had done a seach prior to posting which gave me the clue to use the required setting, but when I tried it out I was unclear whether it was working the way I wanted because I was puzzled by the last line displayed in the second to last entry in the log below "Performing CRF Prediction... - Analyzing 24.21 17.10 23.97 [23.87]". I guessed this to mean that Rebuilder was still attempting to work out the necessary CRF to reach a particular file size. Presumably, I'm wrong about that?

Hmmm... I guess I should disable that routine when a fixed crf is used... thanks for reminding me.
