I saw with "Bitrate viewer" ( http://www.tecoltd.com ) to my mpg files. Aver. bitrate: 1616 Peak: 2578. For CC* was sets: Max 2350 and Max Aver 2230 (+sound 224). But still in some moments (randomize) of movie are problems. On second movie, where I set Max to 2300 and Max avg. to 2180, there is all OK (+sound 192).
I think, Thomson doesn't support true SVCD ( bitrate <=2600 ) !

Why dont you go find out if thomson supports svcd instead of assuming? You'll never solve problems if you dont gather facts ..and just use assumptions....if you need help goto http://www.vcdhelp.com
Look and see if your dvd player is listed if not contact the maker of the player..if you cant even do that then go to a store and tell the clerk"I am looking to buy a dvd player" put your disks in a player that you know works...you can find out which players play svcd's at "vcdhelp.com" so do that then come back let us know what happened

I cannot - like you - an arogant us-man - go buy a new DVD player.
In manual of Thomson, there is wroted about support of SVCD. On vcdhelp is nothing about problems with Thomson. Thomson does answer for nothing...
If my questions irritating You, take ice on your knackers and go tell with O.B.L. Where You could read - chainsaw135 , help me, please ?
I saw, you didnt help anybody. You know only to vilify and to ridicule.

Dear Machura,
there's no need to get frustrated, nor personal. As much as you deserve to get help, respect has to come both ways.
You do realize this discussion group has been reading about your troublesome dvd player for days now, you have started multiple posts about it and we're not getting anywhere.
I'm sure people want to help, but you have to try harder yourself if you really care about your problem.
Hopefully yours,
Da Franksta
