Can anyone help me with these error messages?
"Error in exec command [Tool.Mux] : The requested name is valid, but no data of the requested type was found"
"Failed to execute MUX Server : The requested name is valid, but no data of the requested type was found"
I've uninstalled and reinstalled Scenarist with no luck.
Thanks in advance.

Possibly an asset is missing? Go to File and select File Tracker, and see if there's anything missing from the project...
Just a guess, haven't seen that error before...

Looked into it and everything has a green check. This has happened with two other titles, one of which I compiled previously with no such errors. Strange.
Thanks. Anyone else have any ideas what the problem is and how to correct it?

I see that you prefer to reinstall things at the tiniest error message. Reinstalling solves really few things, like system corruptions and/or registry issues, but would never ever solve a problem concerning broken assets issues. Your data is simply defective and it's rejected.
The way Scenarist treats the assets changed a bit, so you have to indicate the version of Scenarist, the type of the project (DVD, BD or least probably HD-DVD) and what kind of assets did you employed.

Well, mux server obviously indicates it's Scenarist BD, probably 5.0+. Assets are pretty much limited to m2v, h264, vc-1, png, wav, ac3+mlp, dtshd, etc since these are the only formats Scenarist BD would take, otherwise you would have to go through some conversion. If all assets are green in the file tracker, Scenarist may think they are fine and have not changed since. I have never seen this error either.

Thought of starting basic troubleshooting by uninstalling and reinstalling before asking anywhere cause sometimes the trouble can be easily solved in that way but obviously not in this case. I am just adding subtitles to two different bd's on Scenarist bd 5.1.3.
Figured out the problem with localhost. Thanks guys.

We don't delete threads once a problem is solved, after all, others may have the same problem now or in the future.

FWIW, I would also have been tempted to delete the asset parsing files and have Scenarist re-parse them prior to attempting a mux.
Anyway, I'm glad you found the error - in fact, I'd have appreciated it if you'd been more detailed in describing exactly what the specific cause (and solution) actually was, as this would be potentially very helpful to others encountering similar or identical errors in future.
All the best,
Arky.
