Let's move this conversation to another thread. This sticky is meant for FAQs.

So, did you move it? To where? Shouldn't there be a link to the new thread? How am I supposed to find it??

OK, I really don't understand. I started this as a new thread so I don't understand why it's on a FAQ sticky to begin with. Every time I ask a question here it gets shirked, and I never get an answer. It just goes into some limbo.

You obviously didn't start it as a new thread... it's here isn't it? Maybe your attitude and tendency to blame things on others is the reason you don't get a response. I've posted in your other thread...

I thought you had the facility to move it to another thread, but realized you hadn't so I did. I really thought I'd originally posted a separate thread. Oh well.

I realize Dvd Rebuilder may be a dying breed, but something troubles me. Why is it when I use the Deen filter, it takes significantly longer to encode. Technical explanation is welcome ;) My processor is only averaging 35 - 45% with the filter, where as without the filter, It averages 55- 60% of my processor. CCE encoder by the way. Something is obviously going over my head LOL! Any and all help appreciated. If this is the wrong thread I apologize. I'm not sure how to google such a question. I've tried several searches to no avail. But who knows...

Fact of the matter is, using deen takes over 3 times as long to encode.

Deen is definitely really slow. I've had the same experience.

lol. Guess I'll just have to deal with it ;) It's very worth it. I'm encoding the sliders series and some of the discs are over 3hrs, and the original quality is not very good.
Thanks. At least now I know this isn't only my problem LOL!

Thanks. At least now I know this isn't only my problem LOL! Have you thought about putting them on an AVCHD disc? As long as you have a blu-ray player for playback you'll get outstanding quality. The way I do it is by using multiAVCHD. Just select the DVD as input and let it create a blu-ray disc. Then run that one through BD Rebuilder and size it to your desired output... it really pretty nice. That three hours will lose no quality whatsoever on a DVD-5...

I tried a similar method with a Star Trek Voyager episode, and Ripbot264 once. It showed promise. Thanks for your input. I may just do that :)
