Can I add borders during my second pass?

I am ripping Castaway. I'm going for 704,400/3cd. I would like to make it 720,480 while maintaining the correct aspect ratio. I can do AddBorders(8,40,8,40)to do this but When exactly can I do it? MUST it be on the first pass or can I do it on the second pass? I realize that generally any resizing should happen with another first pass, but since the actual video is STILL 704,400, is really needed in this case? I have never tried this before(adding borders).
Oh...one more thing...how come Gknot never resizes to the Actual size of the movie, no matter where I put the slider? I can make the resolution bigger or smaller but never the same size. Is there a way to do this using Gknot?

Just try to add the borders with the second pass.

And the width has to be divisible by 32 to prevent problems with some gfx-cards (i think). try to set the w-modul to 16, then 720 is possible. but i don't know whether this works for you or not.
