hi,

in GKnot, I always told the programm about 2CDs with 695MB per CD.

But the finally .avi is just 1.31GB and not the 1.390MB what GKnot is talking about!

So, where is the empty space?

It is 1.4 GB it is just the way that windows rounds up its numbers. If you download a prog called avi info (Look around divx-digest.com). This will tell you the exact size of the file down to kb rather than GB. Hope this helps you maybe somebody else can explain it better than me.

Or maybe the divx4 codec that is not reaching the desired file size?

Yeh with Divx3.11a I've always got 1.35Go movies exactly.
So use divx3.11a.:D

well, if u get always 1.35GB, you also dont get the exact filesize!

if u work with 695MB u must get 1390 MB, so it is the same if u use divX 3.11, the filesize is always lower than calculate, but why?

1,35Gb = 1382,4MB

and this is pretty close to 1390.
