Using the cheapo DVD-Rs (you know the $2.69 ones with the gold bottom).Anyway I use Sonic DVDFusion to record to my AO3(F.Ware 1.68) and under Fusion it says it is recording at 2X(I believe it to be 1X actually) but here is the funny part:I can take this burned DVD-R and it will not play correctly(sometime no disc sometime dirty disc sometime will play) on my Sony DVD player(Plays the other semi cheap DVD-Rs no problem with the purple bottom).Well I take this same media and burn it via Prassi Primo DVD 2.0 and set recording speed to 1X (same exact files as before)and the resulting DVD-Rs (tried 4 of them)play fine first time everytime. So is there a way different recording software burn that can make it more compatible with DVD players?Anyone else want to try this test?

I think that you could be right. I just finished ripping "Road Trip" down to a 4.7gig DVD-R. I burned it with Nero, and it will not work in standalone dvd players. However it works in every computer?

Prassi Primo DVD 2.0 I'll try this next. I'll post my results.

Nero has never worked on my Apex player. Prassi works every time. This is when attempting to burn the same exact titleset from my hard drive.

Thanks guys,so this adds to the frustration!Prassi seems to be the best for recording to the DVD,this tells me there is no set standard for recording to DVD-R,great another speed bump in the world of DVD authoring!
