Anyway to get eac3to to just demux English audio and subtitle tracks

eac3to [source] -demux

demuxes 1st video, all audio and subtitle tracks, then one has to manually weed out non-English tracks.

Have looked at 2 eac3to GUIs but they all seem to want to go thru the whole MKV conversion process whereas all I want to do is as per the title

Interesting but how do you tell which tracks are English?

You have to allow eac3to analyze your source first, if the language info is present it will be included in the output messages. I find UsEac3to GUI (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=145574&highlight=useac3to) very fit just for this (and many other) purpose(s).

One prob might have been that up until now I have had only BDs with the main movie in a single M2TS, so I would move that file out of the STREAM folder and process it separately. When audio and subtitle stream were demuxed from this, they never indicated the language.

However if one leaves the mainM2TS in the STREAM folder and does something like:

eac3to [path to STREAM] 1)

then eac3to lists contained streams in playlist 1) with their languages, which one can then selectively extract.
