Hi,
Has anybody tried avisynth3 for linux? I do a lot of low light night hd videos with my 550d cranking the iso 3500 to 6400 with lot of noise. To eliminate i got something working with virtual dub filter from a russian named: Super temporary cleaner and it looks good.

Is there any same workflow for my linux through avisynth3 doing the same?, removing iso color noise and applying some smart smooth to Lum channel?

This is my first post! :)

Avisynth3 has been a dead vaporware project for like three or four years now. In other words, it might as well not exist.

Sad (Old) News.

Does anyone develop AVISynth at all?
Why version3 was dropped?

avisynth is still being developed, but only the 2.5.x/2.6.x series at the moment.

avisynth 3 saw a combination of
A) cross-platform support
B) dependency on boost
C) integration into gstreamer

each have their own loads of issues.

the cross-platform and boost parts pretty much made just about the entirety of the 2.5.x codebase at the time unusable.

i only remember one person trying to develop on it (though the repository does have 2 usernames in it) and it's too much work for just 1 or 2 people to rewrite the entirety of avisynth.

Well, it seems to be ambitious project.
I wish someone takes it under his wings.

Being platform independent could have been amazing.
