Sys: Pentium 3 800mhz, 256 RAM, 5 Gigs HD Space left, Winblows Millenium
Before we get going.. I'm blonde, understand I'm a bit slow on the uptake
Encoding "The Erotic Witch Project" ..For a FRIEND.. ;)
Started encoding, went to bed.. Woke up the next day to find no work had been done
I take a look at the DVD2AVI window as this was still an active window
Trouble being, it had stalled with 5 seconds remaining:
--------------------------------------------------------
- 01/02/2002 23:29:07
- DVD to SVCD Conversion
- DVD2SVCD ver. 1.0.6 build 1

Initializing
Initializing finished.

- DVD2AVI
--------------------------------------------------------
Creating DVD2AVI INI file:
- C:\Internet Downloads\Temp\DVD2AVI.INI
Variable settings:
iDCT_Algorithm: 32-bit SSE MMX
Executing DVD2AVI.
Executing DVD2AVI. Commandline:
"C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\DVD2AVI\DVD2AVI.exe" -IA=1 -CS=2 -EXIT -OF=[C:\Internet Downloads\Temp\DVD2AVI_Project_file] -IF=[C:\FServe\Movies\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_1.vob,C:\FServe\Movies\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_2.vob,C:\FServe\Movies\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_3.vob,C:\FServe\Movies\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_4.vob,C:\FServe\Movies\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_5.vob]
Nothing weird looking to me... Just a basic stalling of DVD2AVI ?
I closed DVD2AVI manually, and DVD2SVCD naturally moves onto the next stage, only to tell me the DVD2AVI output can not be found, yet it's right there on my hard drive
Any clues ?
Tried a few versions of DVD2SVCD, same problem
(I THINK the Audio timestamp jumps, for example, the program crashes with 5 seconds of encoding to go, yet the Audio Timestamp reads 0:00:54)
I'm paranoid, It can't be loading, as it's been left hanging all night
It WAS getting past this stage, but was crashing at the CCE encoding section, I fixed that by fitting the patch to CCE, but now this problem has started to kick in
I should just stick with the 1990's and encode to VCD !
