i followed the svcd tutorial here on doom9, but I did a bit shorter version;
-I ripped the vob archive to my hd
-made a dvd2avi project and converted it to an "avi" with vfapi
-ripped the audio from the vob archive to mp3
-then instead of using a frameserver for the video(+ audio) i just started TMPGenc an loaded the avi and mp3 directly, then adjusted the settings and started the encode..
this worked just fine and reduced the encode time by 60%(!!!!)
my question here: why use the frameserver?(nandub)
