t-rex: No FF or FR

I’m not able to make a fast forward and a fast rewind (it starts for a second and after that the DVD player goes in idle state) on my DVD player (Yamaha S510) but on the PC it’s ok. Do you guess it’s a problem of the player or of any settings?
