I will be the first to admit i dont want to pay for it if i dont have too, but to continually have access to it you might have too.

To help out with the cost for keeping this site up, what if doom charged $1.00 per person for a designated amount of time(month or 2) renewable of course to have access to the downloads, guides, and forum. Access to the site itself would be free, but to download or post would be the charge.

There is a lot of good info on this site and i would hate to see it go.

This is just one suggestion.

I remember this in a discussion a long time ago... it's a bad idea closeing the community. Not many people would pay, even though they would use it a lot, they're just against the idea of paying - even though it is not a lot to ask. Why? Because there are other sites, even though they're not as big or as resourceful as Doom9, they are still pots of information.

it was just a suggestion....
I plan on setting up a server at home that i could make
some space available, but the prob is that i only have a cable connection.
