Something strange happened to me and I would like your help. I reinstalled Xp from scratch, brand new, now I can;t play Mpeg files. I get this message "Cannot load MPLAPX.dll". I reinstalled and to no avail. I installed a bunch of ripping software, decoders etc but I can;t even open mpegs in premier. Strange thing when I save a file out of premier as a panasonic mpeg, it plays. Any help.

Have you checked your \Windows\System32 directory to make sure the file is there? Even if it is you might try re-expanding it from the CD (maybe its corrupt).
