I get really low speeds due to my heavy script. 1st pass is only 1.35fps on my 2core and about 2.40fps on my 4core. I haven't try MT("", 4) yet but I still will have max 4.70fps and it's gonna take my encoder 2*7hours to complete. I'd like to split the script on 3, 4 parts and then merge it with newest mkvmerge. Normally I wouldn't think twice but it's my encoding and I'm curious if appending AVC can lead to some sort of problems, losses, seeking problems etc. I learned myself it is safe to join spitted parts with DGAVCIndex on Rkey frames but I wish somebody else told me it's completely ok.

I once appended a 2 CD splitted movie, there were no visible (or hearable) problems. Both video and audio were just fine.
But, as you might know, encoding pieces won't make it faster, so why don't you leave your PC working overnight?
