Hi!
You know the different modes in VDub's internal deinterlace filter, right? There's a "duplicate field" (dupe odd or even) mode there, which IMO isn't really good, since if I'd go with that type of approach, I'd go with interpolation. In fact, even a simple "SeparateFields().SelectEven().Bilinearresize(512,288)" would suffice for anamorphic PAL DV.
Anyways, that's not my discussion/question here, but simply how to proceed if you still want to use the "duplicate field" method in AVISynth? I'm sure there's no need for an external script, but just some fiddling slash playing with Select/SeperateFiel/perhaps something more. It's just that I'm too darn st-pid to make logic fall into place every now and then. I've been sitting with Google stings such as "avisynth field duplate" for half an hour now, no results of value.
So please, boys and girls, drop me a crib sheet! ;)
