One little problem:
Thomson DTH5000 - CD-RW10x Verbatim.
From time to time, when I playback movie, picture on moment stop or fall out sound. I think, it may be 3x-4x on CD. It is not in same time. And when I get back with "REW" and playback "bad" part again, all is OK. What can be wrong ?
I'm using 192bit audio and standard value for bitrates, but I dont using convert from 48 to 44kHz.

I can think of two likely explanations.
1) the disc has a higher max bitrate than the player can handle
2) the disc was burned at too high a speed
You said you were using the standard bitrates, which I assume means the max was set to 2498. Do you have selectable (CVD or SVCD) subtitles on the disc?
Did you burn the disc at above 4x speed?

Thanks, it can be in speed, I'm burning it to 10x :-) I'm still testing. Max bitrate I have standard from DVD2SVCD.
Do You think - player badly read CD at high speed burned and then must be some sectors readed repeatly and buffer underrun, ok ?
Ok, I will try it burn to 2-4x.
DTH5000 hasn't selectable title ( but when is SVCD in player, is possible choose 1-4, on/off, but no effect - may be bug in firmware ? )

Does this happen when you play the disk on your computer using a software player like Windvd or Powerdvd?
You can go to http://www.vcdhelp.com check that page out .there is a list you can look at see how compatible your dvd player is when it comes 2 svcd's

on PC is all perfect. I think, Thomson is fake. When I open it, all is Samsung (M105/205).
This stopping is randomly and next playback this parts of movie is OK. Dont buy Thomson :-(.

From Mozart - "I don't know if apex1500 (or its clones) are so cheap outside the USA"
USA price of an Apex AD-1500 is about $80 - $90. They probably have a higher "value" to those of us into DVD, however. The Apex AD-1500 units that have a serial # beginning with a " D " or an " E " can have the ROM flashed to make them macrovision and region free. I have TWO AD-1500's - One at home, one at work - I flashed both and both work fine. The newer AD-1500's whose serial # begin with an " SV " CANNOT be flashed. Many Wal-Marts in the USA still have the older flashable Apex AD-1500. Get 'em while you can ..
