I am Begineer in Avisynth.

I would like to know how to identify whether a test clip have A/V sybnc through Avisynth automatically. Any functions available to do this

There are no functions to do that.

@ neuron2 so in that case if my audio sampling rate is not equalivatent to the original rate can it be assumed that there is a A/V sync issue

No. You can have less samples per second but they get played at a slower rate so that the playing time is the same.

Do you have a problem processing a stream? It might be better if you describe the actual problem you face.

@ Neuron2. My issue is that I have a video which looks like having video audio sync issue. But I need to validate it is that really a sync issue which not able to identify visually as the audio is background to the video so no lip detection available.

If you cannot identify it by watching what difference does it make?

Anyway, first you say it appears to have a sync problem and then you say you can't identify it. What the heck are you trying to say? Why do you think there is a sync problem?

What is the source file format and where did you get the file?

Ok let me rephrase it. I have video file (.avi) that was dance and music. But some dance movements do not sync up correctly with music. I don't have the original file again to revalidate it. I doubt it could be a sync up issue. I want to ascertain whether the sync up issue is present or not.

You're trying to analyze/fix a stream that you no longer have?

And you now say the file you do not have does not sync up but you don't think it's a sync up issue. Your posts sound like a Monty Python skit!

Anyway, as you are now on rule 6 territory, you'll have to clarify all this in a PM to me to get this thread re-opened.
