i read some of the few threads on this issue.. and suggestions were to TRY TRY and TRY..
but i know it must be different for everybody.. so if anyone who has similar problems as me with similar computer specs.. and have good suggestions.. please help me out :)

and now where do i go from here.. do i just cancel this whole project? and all that time was wasted? or is there a way i can continue where i left of?

This is a known problem. Nothing that you run is out of the ordinary.

I suggest you read the Newbie FAQ and the Q + A.

There is a button called crash recovery.
You will have to start at least the video portion over.

Make sure to read ALL the posts here and in the advanced forum on this issue. Many things are given to try.

Is your mainboard and/or cpu overclocked? Or do you use some "optimized" ram timing options in the bios?

When my P3 was overclocked (from 1000 to 1050 MHz) any version of CCE crashed without noticable reason after 3 to 15 minutes of running time.

Now, when all frequencies and options are "in specs", it works perfectly well (2 percent slower due to the 1000 MHz).

I had this overclocking problem only under Win2k. Under Win98SE, CCE worked well with the 1050 MHz. And I think, WinXP is based on Win2k.
