Hi,

is there a limit of buttons in a 16:9 menues?

Because I build a menu with 25 buttons. When I try to compile this, I get the feedback that button 19 and above will be ignored on 16:9 ?

If the menu is set in 4:3, there is no problem??

Thanx for the infos.

There is a maximum of 36 buttons per menu.
In a 4:3 menu you can use all 36 buttons.

For a 16:9 menu at least 2 subpicture planes are required (Widescreen & Letterbox or Widescreen & PanScan). Here you can use up to 18 buttons (2x18=36).

It is possible to create a menu with all 3 subpicture planes (Widescreen & Letterbox & PanScan). Here you are restricted to 12 buttons (3x12=36).

Just as an additional bit of information:

DVDMaestro won't allow you to do all 36 buttons on a 4:3 menu - just part of the abstraction layer.
Also, Maestro will give you the warning at 18 buttons that 19 and above will be ignored - it's way of saying you're at the limit!!
