dvd2svcd ALWAYS freezes when extracting subs

I don't know what's going on, this prog always freezes on me when i need subs. I have tried both the svcd and cvd options but neither works. I have used windows 2000 and xp and neither works either. Any ideas what the problem might be or know another program besides I-AUTHOR that can do subs?

The only time I have seen any freezes with submux is when there's no more space in the target drive.

nah there's space 100 gig hard drive with about 30 gigs left. i would belive that's enough space. Any other ideas. I have a 1.2 athlon with 672 ram, 2 drives a 20gig and 100gig.

are you saying that it cannot extract the subs? Could you tell us what version used?

what happens is it get like halfway and then it freezes.

not much on the log file. It freezes once extracting the subs is halfway done.
