Help with M2TS and ffdshow?

I've got a set of files ripped from blu-ray and processed using tsmuxer for PS3 playback. For some reason, on one file of the SEVEN m2ts files in the STREAM folder, 6 of them will not playback with MPC with the error "cannot render the file", but one of the seven can. The files WILL playback on PS3 (and VLC), but not MPC and so I can't run any avisynth scripts because the system can't render, but I can't figure out why and how the playable ones are different than the unplayable ....Can someone please help me figure out how to troubleshoot either what my system needs to render the file, or how to reprocess the files through tsmuxer so that they'll play?

tsmuxer is, guess what, a muxer, it doesn't change the video/audio. The limitation lies in the codec you use (VLC comes with all the codecs, MPC use the external ones).

What has worked for me before is to demux the files that will not play, remux them into a MKV container, and then you should be able to play or reencode them.

Okay, thanks for that suggestion. I will have to try that (just out of curiosity, what app do you use to remux into MKV container?)

I'm hoping to find some tools to help troubleshoot WHAT my system needs to playback the m2ts file(s) in question. It seems very strange that the output from a blu-ray rip (which was only processed with tsmuxer) would NOT be playable on a fresh win 7 ultimate system with both Haali and ffdshow installed. The fact that I can play SOME of the m2ts files just really has me bothered as if I'm almost there. I tried using the graph program and gspot, but neither seems to be able to tell me much, they just can't do anything with the m2ts segments that won't play, so my troubleshooting options have ended (experts?).

I have used MeGui to remux to MKV, but there are others as well... MakeMKV, mkvmerge, etc...
If you are just trying to play these files back on a PC, you can use PowerDVD or TMT3 and just open the .m2ts files with open media file mode.
