Futurama PAL

was just wondering if anyone else had tried converting the PAL version of futurama series 1 box set from dvd to divx
using gordian knots smart deinterlacer has always worked nicely for me in the past but im getting quite heavy ghosting with this title

Check out the www.isonews.com forum (DivX section). This problem has been talked over at length. In short, it is because instead of speeding the original 23.976fps version up to 25fps as you would expect, they added an extra frame every 24 frames and sped it up from 24.976fps to 25fps. Which means that the extra frame (let's say frame 25) is a mix between frame 24 and 26, hence the ghosting.

this really sucks, as u can see it also when playing the DVD...
